Three Passes Trek
The Three Passes Trek is one of the most adventurous and rewarding trekking journeys in Nepal’s Everest region. This challenging circuit takes trekkers across three high mountain passes—Kongma La Pass, Cho La Pass, and Renjo La Pass—while offering breathtaking views of the world’s highest peaks, including Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu.
This trek combines the highlights of Everest Base Camp, Gokyo Lakes, Kala Patthar, and the remote valleys of the Khumbu region, making it the ultimate Himalayan adventure for experienced trekkers.
Annapurna Trek Requirement
- Original Passport or Valid National ID (for verification)
- Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit
- Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Entry Permit
- 2 Recent Passport-size Photographs for permit processing
- Physical fitness preparation suitable for strenuous trekking (6–8 hours walking daily at high altitude)
- Previous trekking experience is highly recommended
- Travel insurance covering high-altitude trekking and emergency helicopter evacuation (strongly recommended)
- Personal trekking gear suitable for temperatures below freezing
- Ability to acclimatize and trek comfortably above 5,000 meters
Terms for Booking
50% of the total package cost must be deposited as a booking amount to secure your guide and permits.
Full payment must be cleared before departing from Kathmandu.
All bookings are non-refundable once national park permits are issued and teahouse confirmations are finalized up to 100%.
Cancellation charges can be applied depending on transport operators and lodge policies.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel, trek briefing and preparation.
Day 2: Fly to Lukla – Trek to Phakding
Scenic flight to Lukla, start trek through Sherpa villages to Phakding.
Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Enter Sagarmatha National Park and climb to Namche Bazaar.
Day 4: Acclimatization Day – Namche Bazaar
Hike to Everest View Hotel for acclimatization and mountain views.
Day 5: Namche to Tengboche
Trek through forests with views of Ama Dablam to Tengboche Monastery.
Day 6: Tengboche to Dingboche
Descend and ascend through Pangboche to Dingboche village.
Day 7: Acclimatization Day – Dingboche
Hike to Nagarjun Hill for altitude adjustment.
Day 8: Dingboche to Chhukhung
Short trek to Chhukhung for preparation of Kongma La Pass.
Day 9: Cross Kongma La Pass to Lobuche
Challenging high pass crossing (5,535m) to Lobuche.
Day 10: Lobuche to Everest Base Camp
Trek to Gorakshep and continue to Everest Base Camp.
Day 11: Kala Patthar – Dzongla
Early morning hike to Kala Patthar, descend to Dzongla.
Day 12: Cross Cho La Pass to Gokyo
Cross icy Cho La Pass and reach beautiful Gokyo Valley.
Day 13: Gokyo Ri Hike – Acclimatization
Hike Gokyo Ri for panoramic Himalayan views.
Day 14: Gokyo to Thame via Renjo La Pass
Cross Renjo La Pass and descend to Thame village.
Day 15: Thame to Namche Bazaar
Trek back to Namche Bazaar via scenic trails.
Day 16: Namche to Lukla
Final trekking day back to Lukla.
Day 17: Fly to Kathmandu
Morning flight to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 18: Free Day in Kathmandu
Sightseeing, shopping, or rest.
